Navigating Through The Winter Months

Snow, Cold, Holidays

With winter hitting the northern portion of this country, we find ourselves in the south with the most glorious of weather. Low humidity, with sparkling clear days. As a painter it is the best time to plein air paint outside. Recently, I came across one of my paintings completed at Fort Zachary Taylor Park in Key West. What makes this location so special is the colors of water, blue skies and most of all being at the most southern end of the US.

On the Beach

When one thinks of a beach the image appears with soft beautiful white sand. The one dilemma we find on this beach is the coral rock which makes sunning on the beach a challenge. Once finding a level location to paint the rest is pure pleasure.

This is the northern perspective standing on the beach. When one looks at this painting, the memories should surface of being on any beach or better if the memory is of Fort Zachary
